Travel Information
Kia ora,
I am a down to earth therapist who primarily works with adults in the long term capacity. I practice from a relational, psychodynamic frame helping people to understand the “why” behind their experiences to support deeper healing and growth. I have a background of social work where I practiced for over a decade in Aotearoa and Australia before moving into education and then into private practice in 2022. My social work background gives me a wider lens to understand how people experience challenges, discrimination and oppression in our world. I now work full time as a therapist seeing both private clients and those under ACC Sensitive Claims. I am a current trainee of The Conversational Model which is an evidenced based form of psychotherapy that is particularly helpful for people who have experienced complex trauma.
I am of Kai Tahu descent (Kati Hurirapa, Arowhenua Te Marae), and have grown up locally in Timaru before moving to study and work before returned home in recent years.
I have a BSW, am a member of ANZASW, SWRB and a trainee member of ANZAP
